Our last working day before Christmas is 19 December, and we reopen on 5 January. Any queries received during this period will be handled as soon as possible after we return.
Delivery
All orders are shipped from the United Kingdom.
Christmas delivery
For the best chance of receiving your order before Christmas, we advise ordering by:
UK orders: 15 December
International orders: 30 November
Our warehouse will be closed over the Christmas period. The last working day will be 23 December, and the warehouse will reopen on 2 January. Orders can still be placed during this period, but they will be processed after we return and may not be dispatched until after 5 January.
Please note that we cannot refund orders that arrive after 25 December if they were placed after the recommended order dates above.
Post and packing
Our post and packing charges cover only the minimum cost of processing an average order. There is no donation to Survival in this charge.
Heavy items
If your order contains any heavy items, a postage surcharge for non-UK deliveries will be added to your order:
Europe: £10.00
Rest of world: £15.00
UK delivery
Standard delivery: £4.99
Sent via tracked Royal Mail. Orders are dispatched within 2–3 working days, subject to availability, and usually arrive 2–3 working days after dispatch. Please allow up to 14 calendar days for delivery.
Express delivery
Guaranteed within 5 working days to UK mainland addresses. Costs vary by parcel size and weight. Please email shop@survivalinternational.org for pricing before ordering.
Safeplace deliveries
If you choose delivery to a “Safeplace” agreed with Royal Mail, responsibility for the order passes to you once Royal Mail has delivered it there. Survival cannot cover lost or damaged items left in Safeplaces.
International delivery
We ship international orders from the UK via Royal Mail.

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Croatia, Czechia, Ecuador, Falkland Islands, French Guiana, Greece, Guyana, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Paraguay, Peru, Poland, Romania, Saskatchewan in Canada, Slovenia, Suriname, Uruguay, or Venezuela.
Some destinations are unavailable due to local tax, customs, or delivery requirements. We continue to monitor these requirements and will reopen shipping where possible.

International delivery rates
- EU delivery - selected countries only, duty handled: £16
- Australia, Canada and United States: £17.50
- Rest of world: £20
Orders are dispatched within 2–3 working days and typically arrive within 1–2 weeks. However, please allow up to 30 calendar days for international delivery.
EU orders
For selected EU countries, we use a duty-handled delivery service where available.
EU VAT is paid at checkout through IOSS on eligible orders. IOSS usually applies to orders valued at €150 or less.
The EU’s new customs duty for low-value parcels is covered within our EU delivery charge where our duty-handled delivery service is available. This helps reduce the risk of additional charges or delays on delivery.
Orders over €150 may still incur additional import duties, taxes, or handling fees on arrival.
Non-EU international orders
Orders shipped outside the UK and EU may be subject to import duties, taxes, and customs fees. These charges are set by your local customs authority and are the responsibility of the customer.
We declare the value, weight, and contents of all shipments and submit customs information electronically to help ensure smooth processing. However, we have no control over local customs charges, and they can vary by country.
We recommend checking with your local customs office before placing your order to avoid unexpected costs.
Refused deliveries
If an order is refused due to unpaid import fees, the customer may be responsible for return shipping costs and any customs charges incurred.
