Shipibo bag
A stunning bag made by the Mamacha women’s project in Peru.
Of very high quality and beautifully designed, this ethical bag provides a reliable source of income to marginalized women and their families.
The bag is made by women in an impoverished area to the north of Lima and the hand painted panel on the front, by the women of the Shipibo tribe of the Pucallpa area, Peruvian Amazon.
The pattern is traditional to the Shipibo and commonly seen on their skirts and decorative textiles. The design is hand painted using natural dyes.
