Based in Bristol, Richard Long is a landscape artist whose work engages with time, space and the materials of the natural world. One of Britain’s most successful artists, he has exhibited internationally raising questions about our relationship to the landscape – a clear parallel with the vital connection tribal peoples share with their land.
The artwork was made using his fingerprints and mud from the River Avon in Bristol.
